I don’t know if you’re a golf fan or not, but if you missed the US Open this past weekend on into Monday, you missed one of the greatest gold tournaments that may have ever been played. Davy taking on Goliath. And let me tell you…Davy almost won this one. But in the end, Goliath came out on top…bum knee and all. You may be wondering what this has to do with Internet marketing. Well, if you noticed the question I asked, maybe you can figure it out. If not, don’t worry…This article will explain in detail.

I talk to a lot of marketers. Some successful, some not so successful. The successful ones all seem to have a swagger and a cockiness to them. Some are almost to the point of being arrogant. But say what you want about their personalities, they get the job done, no matter what. They don’t know the meaning of the words quit or fail. If they come out with a new product, they believe it’s going to sell…no ifs ands or buts. Confidence is their middle name. If anything, they’re shocked when things don’t work out the way they expect. And when that happens…they work at it even harder.

The ones who aren’t so successful…well, they’re a different story. The thing I get out of most of them is excuses. They don’t have enough time or money or whatever. They say they do their best. They say they try as hard as they can. They just can’t get anything going. Some even blame it on the competition saying that they can’t play with the big boys. Some blame it on their age saying that they’re too old to make money online, that this is a young person’s game. They make all the excuses in the world that you can think of. And because of it, they make no money.

Now, Rocco didn’t make any excuses. He really tried hard. Heck, he almost took down Tiger. So there is no shame in being Rocco because while he didn’t win, he did come in the money. I’ll take second place to Tiger Woods any day of the week. Right now, I’m taking second place to a lot of big name marketers such as John Reese, Frank Kern and Willie Crawford, just to name a few. However, I am still having my own success because I’m a Rocco. I’m not a somebody else. So in case you haven’t figured it out by now, the somebody else’s of the world are the ones who don’t get anywhere. Rocco didn’t win, but he was still a winner.

Think about it next time you want to pack things in because they’re not quite going your way.

To YOUR Success,

Steven Wagenheim
